After narrowly losing to the Mavericks in Dallas on Friday, the Thunder play host to them tonight. OKC will be without both Durant and Jeff Green tonight, and the prospects of winning are limited.
With little hopes of winning, improvement should be the goal tonight. Even though we beat the Grizzlies on Saturday, our field goal percentage was pretty atrocious at 40.7%. We were fortunate that the 40.6% we shot on Friday kept us in the game on Friday. It won't tonight and we're unlikely to replicate the results we had this past weekend if we continue to shot that poorly.
In a move that surprised no one, the Thunder waived Joe Smith yesterday. Smith is rumored to likely be joining the Cavaliers. Smith played in 36 games for the Thunder this season averaging 6.6 points and 4.5 rebounded in 19 minutes.
Shows what I know. Glad they proved me wrong.
