Tonight the Thunder play host to the Western Conference's best team. The last time the Lakers came to town, they defeated OKC by 14. Los Angeles got off to a quick start in that game leading by 12 after the first quarter. A key to tonight's game will be to try to keep it close throughout if the Thunder want the opportunity to lay a really embarrassing win on the likely NBA champs.
The starters of the future will have a golden opportunity to get some playing time against the league's elite. This will be important for the future since the team will need to be able to play with the best in order to be a playoff team in the next year or the year after. And if OKC does raise our performance to that level, it's likely we'd be the #7 or #8 seed which means we'd be facing one of the top teams in round one.
Tonight's game might also feature the debut of D.J. White who was recalled from the Tusla 66ers on Monday. White played 3 games for Tulsa averaging 17 points and 10 rebounds per game. White had jaw surgery in October and returned to action last week.
